Hi everyone, I recently rejoined work after my maternity break, but I’m finding it a bit difficult to manage right now as my baby is still very small and recovering from illness. I’m also struggling to get back to full physical and mental balance.
I’m considering requesting a short extension of my leave for recovery and to care for my baby. Has anyone else been in a similar situation after maternity break? Would it be okay to request additional leave during this period? Any guidance or experiences would really help. Note : my team-mate is also going for marriage leave. Thank you so much in advance

There is always an option to extend ML by 3 months off course without pay. So if your not yet back on project it should be fairly straight forward. But I think you landed a project as s soon as you came back, then it becomes slightly more difficult as there is a dependency on you. Go ahead and talk to your manager. Don’t feel guilty about anything.

I got you mamma! Take a break..u will get it..send a mail to hr u can take ur EL and if needed LOP as well...in fact they will give you WFH for 3 months...U just take care of your mental and physical health..u will get it for sure

I would say try to take some amount of leave and also wfh after sometime. Don't directly join the office. It would be helpful for you to manage everything.

You will definitely get it. You can take 3 months LOP and after that request for WFH as well. Talk to your manager.
