In which month of pregnancy we should inform manager about our maternity leave plans? Also does CG release you from project if they get to know you are going on maternity leave?

Based on the two cases that I have seen in my project, yes, you're released from the project before you go for you maternity leave. This is the process I guess as it's CG that pays you during your maternity leave and not your project.
