Maternity leave and LOP

I am currently in bench and i cant travel to RMG (long distance )as i am 5month pregnant and having some complications. WFH exceptions are not approved. I want to take leave from July 2025 to may 2026 (including maternity leave). Can someone suggest what is the best approach to apply leave. I am not sure about this ( july 2025 - Nov 2025)- leave without pay. (Dec 2025 - may 2026) maternity leave. Can i apply leave in this method?

Inorder to take lwp, you need to exhaust your current leave balance. Hence you may first apply for that and then proceed to ml later. Depending on your due date, the ml leave can be applied pre-dated with a minimum number of days of ml taken early. Check policy for the exact details. During ml, since it is paid leave, your leave will accumulate again. You may be also able to take that leave following your ml. Suggest to discuss with hr with proper medical documents supporting your request. They will definitely help you. Wishing you all the best !
