Marriage leave not getting approved
I have asked my manager for my marriage leave before 3 months for 4 weeks I have 25 EL, 18 SL . I have so many dependency as I am only son of my parents and responsibilities for preparation. I have not taken any leave for 2 years. Please give valuable suggestion.
This issue is because managers doesn't want to loose the billing and make it profitable for their account. Here is an idea. Try to take leaves in bits and pieces. If they are not going to provide you full 4 weeks. Take 15 days of leave. Then return back to office or request work from home. Then again raise small leaves which wouldn't impact for them.
Leave is a right which the organisation gives to each employee.. if you cannot enjoy ur important life milestones then what is the point.. I think it's because of the culture we are brought up in Indian industry we react to leaves this way. If I were in your place I would have informed my manager for leaves and not requested. Incase the manager declines due to any reason, we can go to HR and get it addressed.
No manager will approve for 4 weeks even if you ask 6 months in advance. 10 days is normally allowed.
ASKing is the problem. Just take the leaves.
I get only 2 weeks that is 10 working days...and I was so foolish that I did take any unplanned leaves.....regrate it.
I got 1 month leave in last February for the same reason and approved. Also asked if you can not approve then released me from the project if you don't have any issue.
I took one day leave as my marriage was on monday. Then back to office on next day.
During engagement i did nt get leave so managed attending in evening 😊 this is IT life
You really think anyone will give you 4 week’s. Take 3-4 weeks wfh and ask for 2 weeks of leave then they will approve happily.
If they r not accepting means, ask for WFH. And ask them take max WFH
4 weeks I took only two weeks off
