Market in bearish mode?

I recall mentioning that this is a bullish phase where everyone can profit, but true character will emerge during sideways or bearish cycles. We've been in a sideways trend for the last two weeks, and it could open the floodgates for bears if it breaks the weekly level. What are your thoughts? How is your mutual fund portfolio performing?
