Manager targeted me

I am a fresher working in TCS for almost 10 months, my project is like a worst project and I work on dot net development . They didn’t give me any training or KT but still forcing me to do work on seniors level who has some experience of 8 years in dot net. I tried my best and still my manager is saying things like I don’t like you and I am going to terminate you. I asked for a release but he said TCS policies will not accept. And now he is saying things like I don’t like the work you do, anyone can do those crs what’s so special about you doing those work, you can’t do work without help of other members, if you continue to perform like this I am going to send a mail from client to hr on subject of terminating you.

What should I do ?

It's developer work, anyone can do with learning and experience similar to your manager job can be done by anyone. We are not rocket scientists.
Barking dog never bites your manager is trying to scare you so you take additional responsibility and do long hours. I suggest you to email your managers and his boss then your HR and mention that i feel demotivated by his words and as fresher joined 10 months back you did your best learning without kt and doing your best. Also mention all your concerns and as manager help me if there are improvements needed. It's manager responsibility to groom team members and create supportive environment for learning.

Before joining the team there were almost 9 people resigned due to my manager and not even an single remark is there on him because our delivery manager and him are friends if I mail them I don’t know what they will do to me

You need to let HR know the situation and you are really concerned then that's the only way otherwise just continue. You need to email higher up if you think there isn't anything you did wrong and you did absolute best

If he mentions or says something like termination and tells you to resign. Only tell him that "Please provide the same in black and white". He will stop bothering you trust me.

  1. He cannot terminate you until u breach TCS policy. Be assured u r safe.
  2. When he says your performance is not adequate u say u r trying your best but keep on giving negative feedback will noway help you.
  3. Whenever u speak to your manager turn on phone recording in your phone. Some or the other day it will help you.
  4. There are people above delivery manager, Bu head in TCS. Its a flat organisation.

Recording phone calls or conversation inside office won't breach Tcs policy?? Like taking photos and videos is not permitted.. what if presenting this as a evidence comes out to be a policy breach itself. Please confirm, if you have seen seen such scenerio or somehow sure about this

You should discuss with HR drop a mail what your manager said in detail and ask for one to one discussion . If you have any other witness its good otherwise also don't worry take your concerns to Hr and keep everything in mail .let them know this is not working for you and not good for your well-being. Just ask them at least to shift you to a different project with a different manager . How are others in your team feeling ? You shouldn't be working in a stressed environment and he had no right to go to the client and ask for mail to hr that itself a breach.

Raise an HR grievance in Ultimatix about the behavior of your manager then write an email to skip level people. As you mentioned that delivery manager is your manager’s friend. So, write email to your unit head and before that prepare an excel spreadsheet where you need write down all the work that you have done so far on a daily basis. In the grievance mentioned that you’re constantly being harassed by your manager which is affecting your mental wellbeing and write the same to skip level manager

Corporate should think of it to bring or train people to become good managers.

I would suggest to ask for release and move on because there is no use of any escalation even to the hr or skip manager

Here is a trick Believe you are going through depression. On basis of that schedule online consultation for psychiatric for 15 days gap for 1 or two months,

Gather all these records and show to hr And tell them your experiencing suicidal thoughts every here and there.

It worked for me in RBC project. My Hungarian lead was a bitch. Used to kick my ass everyday in meetings.
