I have been on leave since Saturday.
The manager is trying to boast that people are getting enough leaves and no disturbance during the leaves.
Some minor issues came up today.
The manager needs me to take care of it.
The manager doesn't call me directly.
He reaches out to me via a QA.
The QA immediately blurted that the Manager asked him to call me.
Then the manager dms on slack the QA told him so and so issue.
The manager is acting totally coy while pulling strings from behind.

Don't work no matter what.
Then double rant him, do less work even when you are back from leave

I don't know how it could be genuine. I mean the issue was genuine but he didn't even say once that he asked the QA to reach out. And it felt as if QA took the initiative and then he got an update from QA first. Felt shady.
If your manager asking you to work when you’re on leave then simply withdraw your leave for that day if already applied. Else put half day. Don’t work for free. Be clear that if you’re working even for a bit that means your day counts.
I used to work on weekends/my leaves in initial days but slowly I started ignoring calls and after saying that I was in the temple or in movie or went into social work like that, he is now understanding that I'm telling truth because I did the work in initial days but ignoring now but remember if you work on your off time try to compensate in your office time, nothing wrong with this.
I do compensate during my office hours sometimes. Thanks for telling this otherwise I would have felt guilty for long.
