Management is trying to guilt tripping me

From past 2 years, i am asking for proper hike as i was unable meet family commitments (my owner simply raises rent every year, same goes for food, health, school, needs, wants etc..). Now when i resigned, asking for the retain process , that too words like "salary may increase". Now, saying you are a valuable asset, can't replace you easily, please understand etc..

Anyway hoping for the best to myself and wishing the company to change its policy to respect existing hard working employees.

Bro please resign and find a job outside tcs. You are not at all valuable for them at all. Once they find your replacement , they will start treating u like a garbage. If you are really valuable then value comes with expense . When cant they give u hike? And they said they may increase the salary which is not sure. Once you are retained you will again run after them for hike and everything will start again like before

If you are valuable why don't they pay you the same.

Would you go to jewellery store and expect to get pure gold at discount price ?

That's what 99% of the most talented people across the world are doing. Only the 1% are milking their value worth.

Remember this, you are not committed to any organisation. They will throw you out the moment they see a cheaper alternative. During this uncertain time anything can happen. Goal should be to maximise wealth and one's own skill set by growing. Here you have capped yourself to a below average salary feeling crap. Tomorrow if they find a fresher to do your work for cheap they will drop you just like that.
Imagine having to look at your family in the eyes and explain why you can't support them cause you work for a shitty company at low pay that by the way wouldn't give a damn about you nor family once out. Meanwhile you jump leave go to a healthy company know your worth you would easily make beyond what you estimate elsewhere and never have to say no to anything just cause you can't afford it.

Each person will have their own constraints bro. It's not like, if we are stuck in this company, we are totally incompetent. I have such constraints like 90 days notice period, having wfh option with current client, upskilling possibility with wfh, regular family constraints etc.. , now looking for pay as priority instead of all those things.

If they didn't value you in the past 2 years when you are performing well, they will do the same after you stay here. Better to switch outside. No one needs recognition from anyone, we all just wanted to be paid good and treated fairly which is far from the reality in Indian IT industry
