Maldives a bad child

Maldives is going to be a big pain in as* for India in the coming future. It's like that child who we cannot beat the shit out because we don't want it to go to China and help them set up Chinese military bases in the Indian Ocean. And, secondly we will have to send aid money of billions of dollars so that they do not trap into the belt and road initiative of china ....again for the same above reason.

The way they reacted (sacking 3 deputy ministers), I don’t think they will be a pain. Plus opposition there is still taking Indian side, which means a shift in domestic politics can bring them home 😉

The opposition there taking Indian side is gimmicky. This is done to calm the Indians (to think what you are thinking right now..) so that the tourism and economy is not affected much.

This govt can't even protect its own borders but is losing their mind over what someone said in Maldives. If it is so worried about China, why not take back the 40,000 Sq. km of land which is unlawfully occupied by Chinese Army. Why shitting bricks when it comes to that?

Until the BJP gov I never even cared who rules in Maldives or Nepal.. last 10 years our neighbourhood has had some crisis or the other.. even Bangladesh had a small tiff some years ago. No clue if this is because govt. is taking a much harder belligerent stance or if it is China's doing.
