MadStreetDen Acquired by M2P Fintech. Good/Bad?

MSD was a company doing quite well a few years back. They were doing cool stuff in AI before the hype cycle, had a strong team, and were among bright startups from Chennai. But looks like (from the outside given the nature of the announcement) that they have been bought in a firesale by a Fintech co.

Ofcourse founders making it sound like it was their end goal, but does anyone know what is the news behind the scene? Has it been a good exit for the founders and the employees? Or another startup unable to live up to the hype?
