Loyalty is not an option. It's a choice
Some wounds don’t come from strangers, they come from the people you trusted the most. While she was still with me, she started loving someone else. I didn’t know it then, but my relationship was already breaking behind my back. During Diwali, when we were supposed to be together, she got close to him. Those moments keep replaying in my head, and they hurt more than words can explain. There were days she told me she would leave him, that things would be fine. I believed her, because I loved her. The truth is, his marriage was already fixed, yet he was still loving my girlfriend. And I was left holding promises while watching loyalty disappear. I even saw them together in a room — a moment that broke something inside me forever. I’m not writing this for sympathy. I’m writing this because silence was suffocating me. I gave five years of honesty, loyalty, and love. And I walked away with pain I’ll carry for a long time. Some people don’t leave suddenly — they leave you slowly, while still standing next to you.
