Lost in the Job Switch Maze – How Are You Finding the Way?

Lately, I’ve been feeling like switching job is a bit like walking through a maze. You keep moving forward, sharpening your skills, applying everywhere, but the exit seems hidden. A few years back, people said switching was smooth today it feels more like climbing uphill with a heavy backpack.

For those of you already in the IT world, how are you managing it? Do referrals and networking open more doors, or is it about quietly upskilling and waiting for the right chance? I’d love to hear real stories from those who’ve walked this path. 🚀

At this point the entire process seems to be luck based rather than hard work. Companies seem to be looking for that one perfect candidate now. They ask you to do take home assignments, show up for in person interviews and then after a couple of weeks send out a generic rejection email. If you've good pedigree you can probably move faster in the race else it's the same old slog
