Yes, you are right! I am neither from. IIT nor NIT, i am from UPTU but got the exponential growth in my career with good hike and roles.
I lead a small team in current organisation, in previous organisation i was leading 2 teams group 5 and 7 people. For one group i was responsible for their growth and learnings.
You don’t have to mention the IIT, NIT thing only a small section passout from there every year, there are always talented and skilled ppl outside of it.
EM is achievable google is hiring, uber is hiring, engineering director is a big level up not a position which are opened and listed in careers portal, these are generally filled by leadership headhunter.
