Location transfer
Hi can someone tell me the procedure for location transfer
Just discuss about it with your supervisor if allocated or else with ur base RMG if you are on bench but the RMG would agree only if you satisfy any of the following conditions like min 2 yrs of experience in base location or else should be having genuine reason like medical one with you or your parent or else planning to get married and want to get settled in ur desired location..Once satisfied in any you just need to go in Ultimatix and need raise self initiated transfer request
Path: Ultimatix>Gess>Travel>Self initiated transfer request
Adding to this, there is a 3 step approval process.
- Approval from your reporting manager on GESS.
- Clearance from your current location RMG.
- Acceptance from your new location RMG (would be a challenge if you are on bench as new RMG will have to find a project for you and they usually delay approving such)
Once this is done, you need to send a joining letter to the new location RMG which is completely digital integrated in GESS as part of Self initiated transfer.
Please note: Your city allowance will get impacted, when your base location is changed. you will receive a new compensation letter which is mostly with decreased allowance.
Hi there I'm in a project only..
I can answer you as I took my transfer RMG will not give approval. They will not respond to you if you ask them for a transfer . Also the new location RMG will do the same thing .
It's all upon your manager if she /he ready to give you transfer then only RMG will do that so don't waste your time on RMG if they are not responding put there manager in cc and your manager then ask him for update.
Make sure your manager is ready for your transfer.

If you are in a project, discuss with the supervisor. In the bench, ideally it should be rmg. But it won't help much. Try to get a project by yourself in your desired location
