Is it just me or does everybody feels that companies are firing people in high currency nations and hiring people in low valuation currency nations to compensate? Just couple of weeks ago linkedin was posting a lot of jobs. Saw this happening with google, microsoft, amazon as well.

Why will companies not prefer to do this? In the end everyone wants profit and make their investors/shareholders happy.

Not true every time. Sometimes they even close shop in cheap labour market countries to shutdown operations
