Linear vs horizontal thinking

Linear first order thinking which is one of the most common mental model through which we involve in day to day life. But equal attention should also be drawn to horizontal thinking.

When we think of horizontal thinking model we think in multidimensional approach to broader things. We involves ourselves in calculating how multiple variables, can shape a particular events, simultaneously. Horizontal thinking is the special skill without involves intuition and subconscious mind, makes it beyond logical analysis. Mastering this skill not easy for many people.

Skillful linear or logical analysis makes it helpful in comprehending and predicting small events in smaller scale but not helpful in predicting big events impacting bigger scale.
