Anyone here who likes to login and start working daily? I am a workaholic person but I am exhausted as work doesn’t excite me anymore. I’d rather read, learn random stuff than do my job!

In GV I see many people calling themselves workaholics. I think this ihas become common in our country. It is a derogatory term. One must feel bad for being or calling themselves as such. But as Indians we take pride in it. Do we proudly say "alcoholics?. Even the recovering person will not identify himself/herself as one in past tense. Identifying as one is a strength in companies. What a shitty work culture have we developed?
@Grimreaper .. majority of the working population in tech world will choose to do anything other than work. Most of us are working because we don't have a choice not because of love.
Who enjoys travelling 3 hrs a day ? Sitting in one place for 10hrs a day? Taking sutta and tea break more due to peer pressure than anything else? Spending the whole year working like a donkey only to hear your manager complaining that we need to go the extra mile and do stuff beyond our role? Knowing very well that every 2 or 3 years there will be a "slowdown" or recession when the management will remind us to "perform" or perish"?.
I don't see anything that exciting here. Or May be sitting at the wrong window with a bad view.

Just because I am a workaholic doesn’t mean I do not travel, socialize, read, maintain healthy lifestyle. There is something call “balance” and when I said “workaholic”, I mentioned it because I like working on things, I like to be occupied and get sense of satisfaction and happiness from my work - something that I spend major part of my awake time on and that pays my bills.
If only that last line paid me I would also be with you 😭
