Life of an intern at EY
I'm currently doing my CA articleship here. 8 months in and hating all the corporate politics already. All the things that seniors do to 'impress' their seniors just before the promotion cycle.....ufff
And to talk about us- the interns we are almost carefree about all this but still makes us think whether we have to continue in corporates post qualification.
About work- we usually do all the areas of work that seniors carry out with less pay and less appreciation.... The harsh words the manager speaks even though its not my mistake entirely...I guess it's easy to hurt an 'intern' than a 'senior', why should someone even care about our feelings.
My personal experience - one of the managers in an engagement asked me about a concept of which absolutely an intern wouldn't have an idea about because it was a topic from CA final. I still remember how me mocked me for not knowing it.
I just feel like when these 2 years would get over so that finally i can get out of here.
