Trending @Accenture; Life is getting real: marriage conversations

I recently started having marriage conversations with the parents of my girlfriend of 5 years. Made me become serious about life very suddenly. The conversation of where I work, how much I earn, how I will support her etc. etc.

She also works and in an interesting situation, she actually earns more than me.

And so while she believes in me, I need to cover up. Not because men should earn more. But because I want parents to respect me too.

Made me serious. Made it more obvious why I need to work hard to do better at Accenture. Or find a better job outside.

Until now it was not as strong. Now it is real. Now I need to do it. It changes my day to day perspective.
