Life is fucked up.

I am currently working in consulting, and I’m good at what I do. In fact, I’m most likely going to get promoted this year. However, over the past couple of months, I’ve been feeling increasingly frustrated. I don’t feel motivated to work anymore, and I often feel like I don’t belong in this environment. On top of that, there is constant pressure from my family to get married. With everything combined, I sometimes feel like quitting everything and even have thoughts of ending my life. I also constantly feel like I’m worthless and that I don’t really know anything. I worry that even if I change companies, I won’t be able to perform well anywhere in my life. It feels like my life has become a cycle of work, eat, sleep, and repeat — nothing else. I don’t have close friends, and I often feel completely alone. Could you please suggest something? Is there anyone else on the same boat.

Bhai/behen bilkul tension nahi lene ka..you are good at what you do…toh matlab akalmand ho…bahot kuch hai karne ko, if you feel that you don’t know anything then you are already ahead of 80% of workforce…for distraction you can pursue anything that you like…I personally like just knowing about tech…so i keep pursuing random courses. I am not from any tiered college and just about average. There is so much out there.
P.S. I randomly took a course that taught american accent…quiet fun 😛😛

Ending your life is never a solution. I know people feel frustrated when they keep doing the same thing and feel pressure.

If you listen to your parents, they may be right that after marriage you can have a companion who helps you feel less frustrated.

Imposter syndrome. You said that you’re good at what you do and are about to get promoted but still feel you don’t fit enough? Take a break if possible. Visit relatives or try to rekindle old friendships from college or school. Refresh your mind for a bit and you’ll feel better. Also please get enough sun light during the early morning and late afternoon times. Sometimes that helps as well. This will pass. Don’t worry too much.

Dude switch your job, not all industries and not all companies are like this, and don’t you dare talk about taking your life, nothing is worth so much pressure. You are way too important for the world.

Have been through the Same boat, just moved from big 4 and realised there is a big world out there who manage work and all other aspects of life!

Move out for a while and you can always come back!

First of all leave this inferiority complex in you and underestimate yourself. Pause for a few days, analyse at which you are good at. Corporate life would give the same feeling to any working folks. Next handle your family pressure very effectively. Only once if you are ready to get married with the right positive mindset, our parents simply want us to get married to relieve their societal pressure and also before they are healthy. Make some valuable friendships who listen to you. Don't be an introvert for making friends. Without them we really can't survive emotionally or mentally well being. Life can be boring unless you make it interesting.
