Life is becoming so hard 😔

Life is becoming so hard 😔. I no longer see kids playing around. People are no longer excited/tend to visit relatives as often. All people are just cringing on Instagram all day. There is so much misguiding going around. People are becoming less religious and losing Indian essence and adopting and influenced by more Western life.

“All people are just cringing on Instagram all day” so true I’m a part of it too, and getting out is becoming very difficult

There are two types of people on Instagram:

  1. Uneducated individuals - who either create or consume cringe content.

  2. Educated individuals - whose accounts are either managed by their PR team, or if they are handling it themselves, there is a 100% chance that they are making money from it.

Which group do you belong to? I asked this question to myself a year ago and deleted that shit app.

Same but deleted it in 2020. Not a single day when I think I need Instagram 😂. Only decision which I am proud of

If only relatives were not intrusive, disparaging and orthodox, then everyone would definitely want to visit them.

Being orthodox may not always be a bad thing

"Less religious" and losing "Indian essence"?

People get influenced by "Western" because they are tired of being dictated what "Indian" means.

Why is your life hard because of other people's preferences bhai? Unko Insta, western life jeene de na, apka kya jaata hai?

Those statements makes you realize OP is the real cringe one here.

Yes. Indian culture, too, is a growing entity. Maybe the next definition is a mix of what was, and what will eventually be.

What you see on Instagram is not the entire world. So many of the best folks I know are not on social media. Close the gram, travel to remote places and hopefully you’ll lucky to stumble upon them. There is hope!

Less religious? May you never know atheism I guess :😜

JumpyPretzel

Let’s not confuse lack of religiosity with atheism. You can believe in God, and yet not be religious. Believing in God doesn’t mean one must indulge in religious practices. And if you don’t follow traditional customs and religious practices, even if you do believe in God, it doesn’t make sense to be termed religious.

If we had what we wanted, a loving partner, faithful and fun friends and family, a great career, we would not be on social media as much.

everything was going good till you brought religion and indian essence. being in touch with other people and enjoying an event in the same proximity feels universally good no matter which part of world you come from.

the family bond is as good in western culture as Indian...

The thing is, people have diverted from their old roots. be it eastern or western side of the world. I don't know if it's good or bad... all I know is that I'm stuck here and missing my home ... that's it.

How is this making your life hard?

JumpyRaccoon

If you're talking about misguiding people then Twitter is the platform that misguides them the most. Instagram is majorly still a lifestyle thing and it's up to the individual to take it either as a leisure or as a source of depression looking at how others live their lives.

If people are becoming less religious in today's world then frankly I'm only happy! One less keyboard war to fight. Thanks to the political parties religion has been commoditised and commercialised. Good riddance.
