Life Crisis (Lost myself)
Had been in IT for past 5+ years and it seems there is nothing I have learnt till date the way IT industry is evolving. Roles where I had worked had very limited exposure to tech side but had made some side hustle to learn and switch but again landed in same operational work.
Today when I try to switch again, I face below scenarios:
- Low Hike (20-30%) - with relocating to new city*
- Very less demand in market
- Job description vs Hiring Managers expectations vs Actual Work - All different
Need advise on what to do, wait till next year for switch or switch anyway as I am not learning anything here. Open for suggestions (Not in a mood to learn anything new as due to mid life crisis or something - lost the hunger to learn i.e. lost myself)
*Happy to relocate but HR need to consider cost of living and provide the appropriate hike when moving from Tier 2 to Tier 1 city in terms of cost of living.
It's normal to have this feeling but blaming your mid life crisis to not upskill is not right bro. Can you tell me your current CTC and city you have been told to relocate to then only I'll be able to guide you.
