
Lie to HR to get more pay
We all have experienced, HR asking our previous pay slip. What is we lie about our actual pay and tell them an increased pay, like if your ctc is x we say 1.3x so that we get our new pay based on the inflated ctc. Surely not ethical but looking at the way HR have always overly leveraged our previous pay to determine our current pay, what do you guys think about it.

i would say not to inflate current pay but get a competing offer letter, edit the ctc as per ur worth and use it to get offer letter of another company

I was wondering the same. Its not unethical because they are not even supposed to ask payslip and offer letters. Its like a drug addict is buying cocaine from you and you gave them fake wheat flour. Is it really illegal?
