Let's do some calculations?
As per these new guidelines, I have decided I dont want the performance bonus. Because if I want to go to office I have to live in PG and lunch, snacks which costs me approximately 10k-11k per month. And this performance bonus is 6k (including city allowance and misc.) So as far as I know, they will be taking attendance on quarterly basis(3 months), it means when I work from office, my expenditure is atleast 30k and I get maximum 20k performance bonus. Isn't it a good decision?

Even i feel the same way, my travelling cost is also greater than the performance bonus

Dude I spend daily approx 400-500 in travel and one time meal(lunch) outside ! This translates to 15k-18k /month variable performance pay comes 15k approx once in 3 months !! So wfo meant I spend 45k and take 15k from tcs !! Fucking looting

it's even worst in your case 💀

Yep buddy feeling sad for choosing to join tcs when I had another offer in hand back then . Will start looking out again ! Never want to work in this creepy company who don’t give a dam about its employees! Only ceo and his personal choices rules this company

Agreed with the calculations, but also consider that not being WFO compliant will also reflect in your appraisal/promotion. So although you saving now, but you will lose your potential hike or promotion. This happened to my colleague this quarter. He was hardworking, manager did gave A band but since he had 0% attendance, band got revised to C i think. So be mindful

It is good I think this will affect your appraisals and promotion and you will get the deduction of your salary also later i think this is a plan they may implement
Please plan accordingly.its my opinion

One clarification I have The policy is updated on 17th April. But effective from 1st April. 🥲

If you are planning to quit TCS in the near future then you can continue WFH and don't bother about TCS WFO rules.

In the future as in ? . I plan to leave after a year from now. So I should be worried?

Its better to give up the paltry FRACTIONAL performance payout anyday than to attend office. Even though its substantial. Il save 15k per month on Fuel - 3 hrs of up and down driving time & my health by avoiding crowding places where most have poor personal hygiene.

How is the compliance recorded or calculated? It's like 85% of the total 50 hours in a week, or is it 85% attendance in number of days?
