Lenskart fooling customers

I had bought a Lenskart spec 3 years ago for around 1250 rupees, went to their store yesterday for Lens replacement (due to scratches) seeing their 199 ad for lens replacement. The guy at the store was like you had opted for a Blu smart lens, replacement for the same will cost you 2000 rupees. Also he mentioned to me that if you go for a new spec altogether (with a new frame) it will just cost you 1800 rupees with the Blu smart lens.

Basically lens replacement costs > New spec altogether

When will companies stop such unfriendly practices? Does anyone at these companies even thinks about the waste they are creating by pushing such agendas? Also even their Buy 1 Get 1 spec with membership is just another waste creation gimmick :(
