Lenovo legion slim 5

I am thinking of getting 4070 legion slim 5. Problem is I think it is very expensive. I have never bought gaming laptop and I am kinda vary if spending so much. Do you think it is worth it to spend extra money for 4070 or should I just wait for 50 card launch and then think of buying laptop . Plus all these nivida cards have only 8gb vram 🫠

50 series laptops would be showcased in CES (jan 7-11)
Would launch in India by march end/april
First decent sale would be prime day (july)
If you can wait , very well
Else atleast wait till republic day sale (40 series should see a price cut)
Did not see good sales on legion this gen in India , Tuf A15 with 4070 goes for 1.3L but doesn't have great screen

Not sure the 50 series will come to budget laptops soon. Even if it does, for the first year the prices will be really high as they would want to sell off the 40 series inventory first. Sale pricing is really far off imho.

Laptop cards are more expensive and offer lower performance. Your 4070 will be equivalent to a desktop 4060. But waiting for 50 series is also a bad option as 1 the laptop cards will launch later then the desktop ones and 2 the price will melt your brain 🫠 because Nvidia doesn't give a f about prices anymore

Just check for difference between rtx 4060 and rtx 4070 performance numbers for games you want to play. If that difference don't matter much you can also try 4060. I was also looking for 4070 back, theni checked 4060 numbers, difference was not that huge as price was so I choose 4060 laptop.

Can anyone suggest good gaming laptop under 70k?

I currently use one with 1650ti and it's showing signs of old age.

I found this one but I am not sure if this would last for 4 years down the line.

Take a look at this HP Victus AMD Ryzen 5 Hexa Core 5600H - (16 GB/512 GB SSD/Windows 1...
