Trending @Wipro; Leaving Wipro but my boss is saying that he will give me a promotion and hike?
What should I do? I joined as a fresher at 6LPA and now that I have 2YOE. I got an offer from Cognizant for Software Engineer role.
They are offer 13LPA. My boss is saying that he will promote me next year, get me a hike that matches this offer and try for on-site. What should I do?

I would suggest you to take up cognizent offer. Wipro hadn't sent anyone onsite in past few years as far I know and they wont provide more than 18% hike. Its your right time to grow and switch companies. All the best

whoever assured you of promotion or hike next year did they give it in writing !? if yes , go ahead and wait , if no, go ahead with whatever offer you have

We all know it's a carrot and will not happen ! But looking at from a different angle, validate once about CTS. Offlate it's not been in good books. May be you can push wipro for an immediate hike and keep looking out for something other than CTS and jump. Or else, go to CTS now, but dont stick there. Exp and profiles like you are in high demand right now. But once you hit 13 LPA, you won't be in that demand zone. So do a pro-cons comparison before going to CTS for 13 LPA
Or match the offer right away as you already have an offer to join so within that time frame do it else please leave...
