Leaving TCS after 9-10 years how does it feel... is it a wise decision?

I have been working with TCS for about 9 years and when I finally asked my manager for 2nd promotion he said I will do in next quater. I do not had a habit of poking so i thought I will get the reward of my work.i had good bands all these years last 3 are (B A A) but still they want me to ask for promotions . Those asked got ,those who didn't they are delayed . Doing lot and lot's of work and ignoring family is many of us doing .I realized but many haven't yet .

I resigned finally without an offer but the amount of relaxation I had it can't be expressed .I have good offers now but it took me extra 1 month to get this .

What I improved : My skills . My health . My family bonding . My value in the market .

Believe me or not companies like TCS will only extract your strength and degradate it . Don't stay there too long .They beleive on their net worth they don't care for your families.

All employees are complaining for TCS managers, policy, salary, promotion but wonder how TCS is receiving best award for employees satisfaction. No one is satisfied here

So if all the employees provide feedback at various platforms in true manner. This won't happen but people are actually scared there identity may be revealed and they may suffer so they don't provide feedbacks.

My Pulse feedback does not go beyond 55% satisfaction levela ... I have tried to bring it down to below 50% but it's very hard... so I get the feeling it is all fudged!

Once Lalu ji said to Mamta didi - Agar nahi manga to nahi milega pagli. I think this is universal - in corporate you ought to ask what you deserve.

Great that leaving tcs makes you feel good - keeping yourself good should be the only target. Btw, don't forget to ask for your next role in your next org 😄

All the best!

Haha, true that! But sometimes, the best negotiation tactic is to walk away and let them realize what they lost. Now, let’s see which ‘Mamta didi’ of the corporate world values me more! 😎"

I am also waiting for my promotion for almost 7 years

I worked for 3 years and on March 14th I resigned. I'm happy that I resigned and got offer too....but I have few doubts.

My TL informed me that if I take leaves during notice period, by the policy, my notice period will extend. By hearing this I was bit scared...cause I took sick leave as we cannot take any paid leaves and casual leaves. This I got to know from HR.

But still I'm tensed at back of my mind that TL will inform false statements to manager and extend my notice period.

I need help on this. Can someone please help me.

I have also resigned from TCS after 9 years. TCS has lost its value. Its no longer a good company to work for. No promotion, no hike, no learning, no growth and no Variable pay. They are now Pickpocketing our hard earned variable money. Giving only 25% only.

10 to 20 percent on promotion. They will take atleast one quater to give you and if you get selected outside in the next 4 months you will get 60 to 100 percent hike....so choose and act wisely !!!
