I did the same, wasn’t worth it. Lost 12L in savings and 2 years of adding to that 12L in savings. All-in-all, it effectively set me back by at least 1Cr in value has I just stayed put in my job and invested my savings

Its about trying and experience also. Not justifying to always measure in terms of money. The experience you have gained could never have been achieved while working at a company

Did that for 3+ years. Lost around 10L and took me 3 additional years to be back where I was careerwise. Needless to say, the impact on my financial trajectory was huge. I would suggest passion persuers to stay put and gather funds till there can FIRE and leave it forever.
