Leaves in Notice Period

Hi, I had my leaves planned but HR is saying that we can’t take any leave except sick leave and flexi leaves during notice period. I have all my advanced bookings done and this is the most awaited and planned family trip. Is there any workaround to ensure this is not impacted in a wrong way due to the so called notice period rules? Also, what happens to the remaining earned and casual leaves if they can’t be taken during notice period? Will they be encashed?

The leaves are already approved days before putting the papers, still HR came and was saying to me that you can’t take leave and blah blah

You can if it's approved before resignation

If your CL or EL leaves are already approved they can't do anything if not you can only take SL and FL

It's not so called rules only in TCS actually, it's same in all companies. We can opt only sick leaves. If we take other leaves, our notice days will get increased by that number of days. Remaining EL will be encashed in FNF by our basic pay, so we need to plan resignation by that way only, CL will be lapsed and no use of now, you must have think about leaves before putting resignation itself you must have taken all CL, because nobody suddenly gets offer 😂
