Leave denied for team bonding

This is to bring into notice that my manager rejected my leave for this Friday just bcoz the org has planned sone mandatory team games. Is it fair by company management to ask their resources to cancel family plans for this.

We have been working long hours n weekends for the project already.

But asking us to even miss personal events is just too much. THIS PLACE SERIOUSLY NEEDS A BETTER WORK CULTURE!!!
