Learn to stop climbing the fake ladder asap.
A lot of times I have seen people who want to become directors and VPs make no effort to realize they are just burning out for a few extra lakhs. I realized this at 28 when I saw people just want to land a promotion and assume that they will magically by hook or crook be happier with a new title and significant high stress. But you gotta remember one toxic co worker one bad manager one bad reorg one bad stakeholder one bad peer review can decide whether you are getting a panic attack a bump in base and eventually a burnout.
First you need to figure this shit out, then comes the next step. Obviously, we can’t function with the same amount of energy all the time like in our 20s in our 30s and in our 40s like 30s, so you must prioritise finding a stable place with European work culture where you can just do your 8 hours and log off. I am not saying an unrealistic goal. But realistically how much do you want to sacrifice your life considering the taxes in order to say this is it and I can stop working on weekends for someone else.
And I have heard many many times about people saying I will wait for this promotion, I will wait for this project to finish, I will wait for this 6 months in order to take a break or a vacation. But remember the reality is that time will never come you have to make the time which means planning early and moving to a boring but stable mnc not busting your brain.
Stop chasing 100 different titles focus on doing your shift, do a few things really good, eventually get your life back. Wanted to share this as I have heard some random discussions this Tuesday morning about making it to the executive level easily without losing your sanity. Unfortunately it is not possible unless you luck out.

For Director yes you may have to grind and a lot of other things should go in your favour.
However for VP, absolutely No. Anyone can be a VP, from hardworking lad to asslicking asshole. Most companies don’t give a shit abt VP. It’s just that it looks fancy on Linkedin.

You work in bank?

Nope IT, however applicable to mostly all banks, startups and Product firms. 24yr old lads who are applying beardo oil to grow beard like kohli are VPs in their firms.

Maybe it is just up to the individual.
Some prefer to spend their lives working hard and being passionate about work / money / technology.
Some give more preference to family.
Very few know how to balance growth in both, and that's a talent by itself

Team leader 's job is the toughest one. He has to manage the team, technical work, client and the management.

Well some IT directors are completely idiots.
They are just there to exercise their authority where they don't know anything but they pretend to know so much and in view of that they destroy everything in family and in IT industry.

I have not achieved anything in life as per corporate ladder. But one thing i can flaunt is my well defined physique at 40s with hba1c and cholesterol under check even though i have a life threatening illness and am managing it daily with less stress and more on workouts and diets . Some of my friends who chased the titles in our 20s are already in their graves cos they neglected workout diet sleep and less stress . So in your 20s don’t chase too much to die before 40.

Someone once said "Jo mil jaye woh mitti hai. jo na mile woh sona hai. ".
You understand the uselessness of something only after achieving it.

I used to be one of those people you are talking about
And I think 100% agree with you
Spent my late 20s and early 30s chasing bigger titles, better salaries and more power
And truth be told, it does feel great to having achieve all these. The respect it commands and the autonomy you get gives adrenaline(no doubt)
But the bigger question is the cost it all comes with And it depends on what stage of life you are in, what are your priorities and are you willing to pay the price!!!!
It all depends on person to person but my honest suggestion, make your career your priority once in your life, do the hustle and always set a goal when you’ll pull the plug and enjoy what you earned

My question is what is the threshold take home which we can target about that no matter how much our pacakge will be its not worth the pressure and workload..
Is it 2.5 lakhs or 3 lakhs per month.. (Not talking about executive roles)
