Layoffs at Unacademy
More than 600+ people have been laid off silently at Unacademy. This round is going to continue till 30th June. The mental harassment and pressure is off the charts. And the irony is that they are still hiring people from the outside while laying off current employees.
Culture of the company became worse from bad after the influx of new hires in the last 3 months. Costs soared through the roof, all mistakes of last few years were repeated again by the new leadership. End result, Revenue didn’t increase as expected, YOY the online segment is massively behind. Only solution for them is to fire more.
Gaurav is absent from the picture, company is dying from inside. Whatever he stood for, the complete opposite is happening.
