Rumors are like this that some manager wants to release team members
Please Comment how it works when they release means they release from X project to Y project or layoff people

Layoffs are mostly rumors. Project releases can happen, but it's usually about moving to another project, not layoffs.
I was released from project X and then next day I got project Y. I am in Accenture since 3 years I haven't seen any layoff here. Only project release happens here.
I want to change my tchstack in Accenture from SAP to MEAN stack.
How long have you been in IT industry ? Don't understand difference between roll off and lay off ?
If they are downsizing the project team, they will release you from the project not lay off.
In this case either you will get directly hard locked to new project or you will get calls from other project managers for project interview and they will lock you to their project. If no project locks you then they may put you on bench.
