Chronology ko samjhiye....
2014 Dec: TCS starts layoff of mid level seniors with 3 consecutive C bands. Then someone files a court case and layoffs are abruptly stopped.
Current scenario:

The higher management approaches mid level seniors with pending / long pending promotion for their promotion.

Fresher / Lateral hireing goes on as usual.

Business travel go on as usual.
Crucial but unexpected event: The passing away of a Titan.
Things go wary:
- Promotions go on hold for a quarter.
- New joinings are delayed for a quarter.
- Business travels are cancelled selectively.
I expect it to happen next month.

Layoffs are always a concern, but predicting them is tricky. Keep an eye on company announcements and be prepared for any changes in the coming months

What is going to be the criteria this time you think? RTO, PIP, last 3 bands ?

RTO cuz so many people are applying WFO exception fo non odc projects. PIP can also be included cuz well, you know the vast lists of employees on bench. Last 3 bands I guess they won't include this time as they already faced a lawsuit.
