Layoffs and plans?

I see a lot of layoffs in recent times, and trendsetters of the IT industry are advocating long working hours and neglecting work life balance.

Maybe due to AI, if more layoffs happen, employees in order to not lose their job, they will be okay to work long hours and it will be a new trend in industry. How do you see this? Are you afraid of this?

Seeing these factors, Do you have any plans out of the IT industry or even in IT, which will give you a good work life balance, and even an average amount of money which will be enough to keep you happy?
