Layoff news - Major healthtech startup
"Healthtech startup implodes, axes 3/4 of workforce after lavish Series-C funding round! Upper management rewards themselves with director-level promotions, while loyal employees are left in the lurch. In a ruthless move, the company offers a two-month notice period but refuses to provide termination letters, forcing employees to quit and forfeit their rightful severance pay. The very same employees who contributed to the startup's success are now callously discarded, leaving many wondering if greed and betrayal are the new industry standards."
Hint - it's amongst one of the biggest emr platform and says doctor first approach.

"The very same employees who contributed to the startup's success are now callously discarded, leaving many wondering if greed and betrayal are the new industry standards."....
Every person should remember this next time when joining a startup.

I had interviewed at healthplix around 7 years back, but didn't get in. Because I was already in healthcare, I was quite impressed with them. Didn't expect something like this to happen to them.

I was part of the organization until last year, have worked there for around two years. Unfortunately, I have witnessed it transform from a great place to work into a nonsensical mad work place.
Some of the mistakes they could have avoided :
- Hiring for managers from edtech companies, who repeated the same practices they used in their previous companies, despite the vastly different user demographics (parents making decisions in one case, and highly occupied doctors in the other). = failed to understand and not open to suggestions.
- Next-level internal politics, making people leave org and also removal of them who were more focused on company's growth.
- Spending allot on release of featurs which were not adopted by doctors.
- expanding into e-commerce.
- priorities freemium model and depend on pharma investment

Hint kahe ko de rhe ho, fir ye anonymous platform ka kya fayda!!🤷♂️

Always remember employees are just corporate slaves, companies will treat them like that only. Be it an MNC or a startup.

This will continue to happen if educated engineers will behave like fools, we don't raise our voices, we kept feeling safe for our safety and waiting for our turn in butchers shop, we are not aware about our labour laws. We are worst than real labour atleast they have union and they atleast go on strikes eventhough it works or not. But we keep on working like assess.

Which company? Or is it fake news? Created by some people who don't have any aim in life 😔

ohh frustrating, stay strong
