Trending @HCL; Layoff in Microsoft Project at HCL
Hi, I joined HCL in July, 2025 for the microsoft project. The project started 5 months ago only. I have heard that they might fire some people from the project on performance basis.
Is it true that HCL does this thing or will they release from project on performance basis or directly fire them.
Does HCL fire people like this or they are just saying to make us scared.
Please respond.

Hcl won't directly fire you.! Atleast not that I heard of. They release resource from project and put them on bench. Then people will have 30-90 days, if they able to find other project, it's fine, otherwise HR will start pressuring that person to put down their papers.! There are still certain way where a person can push to extend his/her time on bench, but ultimately they have to put down paper if they can't able to absorb into another project from there.

Oh okay I will get new project uf released from this one Bec i am working for straight 8 hrs then also they are thinking that we are not working

For working hours it totally depends on how crooked your manager is.! Basically everyone knows that Nippon won't capture correct time on the system, still management keeps pushing it on employees..this is how it is in hcl.. we have to live with this till we are here in hcl..

No one is being fired from project directly until big compliance or ethical issue from resource. Everyone is released to bench and then WPC team may take decision based on skill of individual, open positions, future demand, salary etc.

I have 11 LPA at 4.5 yrs exp Is it too much?

In microsoft project that happens , but generally those people are deployed into other accounts ,
In HCL ERS is still 60% only .. that means 40% opportunity still are not fulfilled ,because they don't find a talent to put in those position

I'm into DFS domain... I got recruited for microsoft project only and currently 2 months only Will i get deployed to any other project or they will just fire Any idea

It's happening, 4 people are laid off from my project even though they were billable. Its very scary that hcl is laying off billable employees.
