Unfortunate. Gojek was known for its culture. Note to self: capitalism eats culture for breakfast, not to get swayed by shiny SM pics and review!

During November layoffs, the entire leadership team announced over a company wide townhall and started crying fake tears, i wonder how they're gonna do it this time

Koi company nahi bachegi, sab jagah layoff hoga

TCS?

Udhar ke employees waise hi itne pareshan hai ki wo khud se chhodke chale jaate

Team wise update I don’t have, they have started laying off Tokopedia employees. They acquired Tokopedia recently

Certain acquisitions are for the intellectual property so layoffs are common after acquisition

Noob question - Why Layoffs after acquisition? No need for a big team? Role changes?

Employees are expecting layoff to be spread over 3 weeks. 600+700+600 layoffs in each week in March. Gojek going crazy

I’d ask you not to spread rumours but at this point I have no idea what’s true anymore, utterly fuckall situation. Lost faith in leadership

600 folks to be impacted Details on severence and support to be informed later

Hi. I'm doing a story on this. Could you pls connect with me on this at bluethroat7@proton.me ? Protecting your identity is a given.

Gojek was known for its great culture, this is sad

They've had a hiring freeze since last July! Their stock recieved a massive beating in the public markets, the writing was on the wall. I happen to have a lot of inside information and many of their existing f employees were complacent even after the first round of layoffs. So part of the blame is on the employees who bought into the bullshit sold to them. I hear that they are laying off the entire talent acquisition team in India. Funny thing is that their leadership team (talent acquisition leaders) promised a promotion to many of these impacted employees about a month ago, only to inform them about the layoffs now. This leads me to believe that either there was a major disconnect within the leadership teams in India and HQ or this was all a drama to claim martyrdom instead of taking responsibility for complete failure of leadership!
