Layoff consequences on career

Is there a way for other companies to find out if someone was laid off or resigned voluntarily? For example, can they check with HR during background check? Are they ready to hire laid off candidate considering the negative perception of layoff?

They can't find out. Focus on your knowledge and skills. Even if you are laid off, there will be others willing to take you for your skillset.

Bhai Layoff is a term when company asks u to resign. On paper u r resigning, but when company asked u to do. If they terminate you, that can be negative. Understand this!
