Today was a perfect normal day, until I opened PhonePe to pay the autowala. And then a thunder stuck me. PhonePe said they're changing their UI.
I, a completely disloyal Paytm employee have been telling people that trash UI is one of the biggest reason why Paytm lags behind PhonePe in market share. But now my head hangs in shame. I'm not able to bear the looks of this "new" PhonePe UI. It's too flashy and confusing. It's like they copied Paytm UI strategy for god knows what reason. It was minimal earlier and it was PERFECT.
If you're a PhonePe employee, please go to your GitHub and press Ctrl+Z a few times to rollback these changes. I want my old PhonePe back.

You'll slowly get used to it, like me, although it took over 1 month. I hate there's no dark mode :(
It's not just about dark mode. Earlier the icons were more image based and now they are text based. You have to read through to understand what is what whereas earlier you could simply understand it by the design of the icon only
