Can someone explain me like how is the promotion process here at Infosys?

At my last company every year salary used to increase based on rating & 90% of the time by default designation also used to increase.

There are two things here Progression and Promotion Progression for me happened from Associate Consultant to Senior Associate Consultant after one year with no hike in payment.
Promotion happens 3 yrs after you become Senior Associate Consultant. You will become a Consultant then.
And in all these 4 yrs, your annual payment hike is not guaranteed (even if it happens, you'll get barely 5-8% hike) and after promotion you get 15-20% hike.

It been 1.6 years in Infosys , I joined as an associate consultant got 8% increment in jan 25, but still not progressed to senior associate consultant
