Is learning a language like Mandarin/Spanish/German/French worth it? And if so which one. I was planning to learn Mandarin, can anyone list pros and cons????

I suggest you better learn kannada. The you'll get more respect than knowing Mandarin/Spanish/German

Mandarin and Japanese are difficult, easier to learn other languages. Spanish and German are useful.

Less, but not nonexistent. Be warned that the time investment when learning Mandarin/Japanese is at least five times more compared to Spanish/German.
