Laid off, 2yoe, what should I do?

I’m a frontend engineer and about a month now since I was laid off from my job although I had been working very hard. I haven’t been hearing back from companies - getting auto rejection mails, and it’s been pretty difficult. I was thinking of pursuing masters abroad, just to get out of this situation and get a fresh start, is that a good idea?
