Labour Ministry summons TCS over onboarding delay of 600 lateral hires
A letter issued by the office of the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), addressed to the Chairman and Managing Director of TCS, has asked the company to appear for a joint discussion on the matter on August 1, 2025. The Ministry of Labour and Employment has pulled up information technology (IT) giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) following a union’s complaint over the onboarding delay of 600 experienced lateral hires.

It's like business as usual.. Trust me things will get more bad.. The next 2 weeks are vital before dust settles..
The company wants to get ahead of the AI race and before that they want to streamline the internal workforce first.
DELAY of lateral hires is actually GOOD NEWS because bench associates will get 1st priority. Clients will want any vacancy to be fulfilled ASAP.
Nothing will change, it's like one chor has a meeting with another chor. It's just kind of a show off to cover up their sins.
