Know your RIGHTS !!

As per the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) -

[1] Max working hours:

48 hrs/week, 9 hrs/day, 1 weekly off

[2] Rest between shifts

12 hours mandatory before next shift

[3] Overtime:

Beyond 48 hrs/week: 2x wages (max 125 hrs/quarter)

[4] Paid Leave:

12-15 annual, 7-10 sick & casual (varies)

[5] Annual Holidays:

43 national + regional + festive (~10-14 days/year)

[6] Maternity Leave:

12-15 annual, 7-10 sick & casual (varies)

[7] Workplace Stress / Harassment Illegal as per IPC 306 for harassment

Breaking these labour laws can cost your employer: Fine: Up to 2L (₹3L for repeated offences)

Imprisonment: Up to 10 years + fine
