Kickstart technical lead career
Hello all, I will be joining a listed unicorn startup as tech lead. I was working as sde2 in previous org. How should I start my journey and exceed in this role. Need some valuable suggestions. new company new role new responsibilities.
will there be people reporting to you as well? If yes then you have to handle tech and ppl both, winning confidence of the team is really important, then only the decisions you take, the team will back you. Unless they respect you as a leader, you will find the team will lack in backing up on things where you commit to other stake holders
How to win team's confidence? Like by showing an example of any task or project management. Or by nature only?
There is a saying in management, lead by example
If you are going to manage people I would like to share a quote I want to inculcate when/if I become a people manager "Remember that you lead people and manage projects" Try and become the manager you would have liked in your IC journey
