It just seems like the kind thing to do. Specially to all Google Linkedin influencers!!!! I am sick of 10-15 PMs, SDEs selling FAANG courses, posting pictures of Google celebration, Googleversery etc,. How can you celebrate when your friends & colleagues are laidoff??

Influenzas will sell you courses even during the apocalypse let alone layoffs. They will use the layoffs as an excuse to promote their bullshit I guarantee it.
Jobsurance was/is a great example. Same time during last year during layoffs, these influenzas were selling job insurance or some bullshit, which doesn't even have IRDAI certifications.

There's no empathy left in people. It's all show and no substance. There was a stupid trend sometime back on 🅱️inkedIn where people used to donate food via FeedingIndia(a Zomato subsidiary) for likes and clout. That died out I guess after Zomato stopped giving these influencers money. That's how low people have gone now.
