Keep bike in Bengaluru without NOC

I'm about to move to Bengaluru and wanted to bring my Bike. I have a few questions:

  1. how many months can I keep my bike without NOC?
  2. What are the process and charges of NOC?
  3. or Should I buy a new/second-hand bike in Bengaluru?

  1. As per rule can keep for an year

Have kept both bike and car for 8 years without registration and never been asked for anything for it though
