Regression Testing was going on for test scripts, I found one defect and reported it and when it came back I retested it, it was good but I missed a check one step in the same script which I realised after several days🥲.
Out of guilt, when I tried conveying this I just got a glimpse of horror which can happen from my TL. So I somehow diverted by beating around the bush.
So now I have to wait till someone finds it from user end and for my end.🥲
I don't know out of fear I didn't conveyed the defect which I found.
Hey, we all slip up sometimes. Just be honest with your TL, they'll appreciate your transparency more than a hidden mistake.
That's what I tried to do. But she, without a breath started to mention onsight lead and manager, like we will talk with them, why haven't you found this before like that🥲
I agree it was my mistake, but taking it directly to manager,onsight lead is it not too much.
If your TL is such a toxic woman, then you should have actually just acted like you didn't find it in the first place instead of converting it to her. Now you're committed and if that bug turns out to escalate in future your TL will just blame all the faults on you.
